Year 7 of the NZ Compare Awards will take place on November 30th 2023 as we return once again to the Hunua Rooms in Auckland for a gala celebration of all things Broadband, Power and Mobile - do not miss the biggest and best night in the NZ utilities calendar!

The NZ Compare Awards is an annual event that celebrates excellence and innovation in the New Zealand telecommunications, utilities, and finance industries. The awards were established in 2017 by NZ Compare, a leading comparison website that helps consumers make informed decisions about their service providers.

The NZ Compare Awards recognize businesses that have demonstrated outstanding performance in a range of categories, including customer service, product innovation, and sustainability. The categories are designed to showcase the diverse range of services provided by companies in the telecommunications, utilities, and broadband sectors.

The awards are judged by a panel of independent experts who have extensive knowledge and experience in the relevant industries. The judges assess each nominee based on a set of criteria that are specific to each category. The judging process is rigorous and transparent, ensuring that the winners truly deserve the recognition.

The NZ Compare Awards provide an opportunity for companies to showcase their achievements and to be recognized by their peers and customers. Winning an award can help businesses to build brand recognition, increase customer loyalty, and attract new customers.

The NZ Compare Awards ceremony is a highly anticipated event in the New Zealand business community, attracting a wide range of attendees from across the country. The ceremony is a celebration of excellence and innovation in the telecommunications, utilities, and broadband industries and provides a platform for networking and collaboration.

Mike McRoberts is BACK to host the NZ Compare Awards for a second year.  Following his debut in 2022, feedback was very positive and anyone we asked was keen to see Mike back for another year... so he is!

A great professional with witty banter and some great anecdotes, the evening is sure to be memorable and run smoothly once again!

One of New Zealand's most recognisable faces, Mike McRoberts graces our TV screens bringing Kiwis nationwide, the six o'clock news bulletin with co-anchor, Samantha Hayes.

The former 60 Minutes current affairs host whose reporting career spans more than 20 years, is perhaps best known for his journalism work in some of the world's most dangerous places, covering conflicts in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Gaza, East Timor and the Solomon Islands and some of the world's biggest natural disasters in China, Haiti, Pakistan and South East Asia and of course the Christchurch Earthquake.

With the energy, broadband and mobile industries merging into one venue and competitive banter encouraged, we hope our awards evening will be a memorable one for our host.

We use a specialist online awards engine for submission of entries and judging. Entries open August 3rd 2023.

Simply click through, register and complete the relevant sections in the appropriate entry form.  Upload any associated documents and submit.

Judging

Judges for 2023 have been selected for their expertise across energy, broadband, mobile, technology and media. In addition to the senior team at NZ Compare we have collated an expert judging panel made up of some of New Zealand's leading journalists, technology writers, consumer champions and industry professionals.  Our exemplary panel is 100% independent of any Internet, Power or Mobile retailer and their expert views, together with the opinions of the Kiwi public provide the scores for awarding the winners of the NZ Compare Awards.

All award entries will be assessed by an independent panel of industry experts. Our judging panel will review and assess each entry according to the criteria and merits, taking into account all information provided. Full and completed category submissions have the best chance, so be sure to include as much information as possible and adhere to the word limit. The judging panel will then select finalists and winners for each category.

For entries to be fully assessed, it is important that you provide as much detail in your entries as possible and specifically relate this to the entry criteria for each award. Greater transparency with the judges will enable them to score you fairly. All judges are required to sign a non-disclosure agreement before participating. Judges will not be involved in any categories where commercial conflict could arise.

Our panel of seasoned experts will carefully review each entry against the judging criteria. Scores are collated and discussed within groups of judges moderated by our event team where required. The judging process will take place two weeks after entries close.
