The 2018 Broadband Compare TUANZ Awards will showcase innovative products, services and companies across 12 different categories (companies can submit entries for as many categories as they see fit). Each category has its own set of entry criteria which we encourage you to check thoroughly before your submit your entry.

The People's Choice Award is an online award, run by Broadband Compare. Who will the people choose? If you are shortlisted in any category of the awards, you’ll automatically qualify for the Broadband Compare People's Choice Award, which opens for voting on September 18th, 2018.



Broadband Compare People's Choice Award 2018

This award is for the ISP who is voted the best overall service provider in NZ by the PUBLIC. The winner of this award is identified by analysis of Broadband Compare reviews and online research conducted by independent agency Tactix as part of the Broadband Pulse.

Finalists Entry criteria

TUANZ NZ Broadband Provider of the Year

This Broadband Compare Award is selected by the judges after debate and deliberation at the judging day. The award criteria consists of a wide range of judging criteria and will be assessed by the judging panel comprising TUANZ and Broadband Compare representatives.

NZ Wholesaler of the Year

This award is for the strongest overall Wholesale Broadband provider in New Zealand.

Best Fibre Broadband Provider

This award is for the strongest overall Fibre Broadband service provider in New Zealand. This category is open to NZ ISPs and organisations who provide at least one specific Fibre broadband service to NZ consumers or organisations.

Finalists Entry criteria

Best Bundled Plan

Open to NZ ISPs and organisations who provide at least one ‘bundled’ broadband service to NZ consumers or organisations. A bundle plan must consist of a broadband connection with another core service, product or feature e.g. landline, mobile or power service.

Best Customer Support

This award will be presented to the New Zealand broadband provider that best demonstrates a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The category is open to New Zealand ISPs in both the consumer and business sector.

Best Service Provider under 10,000 customers

This award is for the best Internet Service Provider in New Zealand who serviced less than 10,000 connected customers in the previous 12 months.

Best Rural Service Provider

This award is for the strongest overall Rural Service Provider in New Zealand. This category is open to New Zealand ISPs and organisations who provide or support broadband services specific to rural customers.

Best Broadband Innovation

This award will be presented to the NZ business or organisation that demonstrates the biggest innovation within the NZ Broadband sector of the last 12 mths. Open to ISPs and organisations that work within, support or provide to the NZ broadband industry.

Best Specialist Broadband Provider

This award is for the strongest, Specialist Broadband Plan provider in New Zealand.  A specialist provider is any plan created and marketed for a specific NZ audience - this could be a Business Broadband plan, Gaming Broadband or a Budget Broadband option.

FLINT Young Achiever of the Year

The FLINT Young Achiever of the Year Award is for the standout FLINT member as defined by their achievements during the previous year.
